TBT's solutions, which feature cutting-edge thermal imaging surveillance technology, are attracting attention as key equipment in various disaster surveillance fields in Japan and Korea. In particular, TBT's thermal imaging camera system has proven its usefulness through actual application cases in volcanic activity monitoring and rockfall accident prevention.

Monitoring volcanic activity on Mount Fuji
In May 2018, TBT’s PTZ thermal imaging camera (TPV-IAHDR/150) was installed on Mt. Fuji, a symbol of Japan and a well-known active volcano, to detect signs of volcanic activity early and help nearby residents evacuate quickly. The camera can detect temperature changes in real time regardless of day or night , and its stability and accuracy have been recognized at national events such as the G7 Summit.

Preventing human casualties due to rockfall monitoring
In September 2019, a TPV-IHDR/100mm thermal imaging camera was installed at the entrance cliff area of a tunnel in Chiba Prefecture, Japan , to prevent human casualties from falling rocks that may occur during heavy rain and snowfall. The system can detect signs of danger early by capturing temperature changes and movement of rocks in real time, and is greatly contributing to the protection of local governments and citizens.

Also used for forest fire detection and integrated disaster surveillance
In addition, TBT's thermal imaging cameras are being used in conjunction with various natural disaster response systems, such as forest fire detection , rockfall warning systems , and natural disaster monitoring after typhoons and heavy rain , and are also being introduced and operated in the forest fire surveillance systems of Suwon and Gwacheon in Korea.

A TBT official said, “Volcanoes and rockfalls are natural disasters that are difficult to predict, but thermal imaging cameras can detect even subtle heat changes that are difficult to detect with the naked eye, allowing for advance response,” adding, “We will continue to develop technology so that we can contribute more effectively to domestic and international disaster response systems in the future.”
