TBT Co., Ltd. will showcase its integrated anti-drone system at the Counter-Terrorism
Special Equipment Exhibition 2026 (SEECAT'26), to be held at Tokyo Big
Sight, Japan, from Wednesday, September 30 to Friday, October 2, 2026.
Following its announcement in August
regarding participation in SEECAT 2026, TBT will present a mobile anti-drone
platform integrating its EO/IR cameras with radar, RF scanners, jammers,
and other equipment. The company will also introduce its AI-based target
identification and tracking technologies, along with both soft-kill and
hard-kill countermeasure solutions.
Integrated Anti-Drone System from
Detection to Response
An anti-drone system is designed to detect
aerial drone threats using radar and RF scanners, identify and track targets
using EO/IR cameras, and apply appropriate countermeasures depending on the
situation.
TBT’s mobile anti-drone platform integrates
radar, EO/IR cameras, RF scanners, jammers, and other systems onto a vehicle,
enabling rapid response to drone threats in various environments, including
urban and densely populated areas.
By applying AI technology, the system can
distinguish drones from birds and other similar airborne objects, while rapidly
identifying and tracking detected targets. It also supports real-time
situational assessment, equipment control, automatic threat-level
classification, and integrated command and monitoring functions.
The vehicle configuration and integrated
equipment can also be customized according to operational environments and
customer requirements.
EO/IR-Based Target Identification and
Tracking
TBT’s EO/IR camera serves as a key
component of the anti-drone system, providing visual confirmation,
identification, and tracking of detected targets.
When integrated with radar and RF scanners,
the EO/IR system can identify and track detected targets in real time. On TBT’s
mobile platform, the EO/IR camera is configured to detect targets at distances
of up to 2 km.
Through this integrated approach, TBT
provides a comprehensive surveillance and response system covering the entire
process from detection and identification to tracking and countermeasures.
Countermeasure Technologies Covering
Both Soft-Kill and Hard-Kill
Drone countermeasures can generally be
divided into soft-kill, which disrupts drone operations through
radio-frequency interference, and hard-kill, which physically
neutralizes the target.
TBT’s mobile anti-drone platform can
respond to drone threats using jamming systems and other soft-kill
technologies. Its hard-kill solution identifies targets using detection radar
and EO/IR imaging systems before deploying an interceptor drone to
physically neutralize the threat.
In particular, against threats such as one-way
attack drones and low-altitude penetrating drones, which may be difficult
to counter using conventional soft-kill methods, an AI-based infrared (IR)
seeker can guide an interceptor to the target and neutralize it through
direct impact.
Through its participation in SEECAT 2026,
TBT plans to demonstrate its integrated anti-drone technologies covering the
entire process from detection to response, with a particular focus on its EO/IR-based
target identification and tracking capabilities.
TBT will continue expanding its presence in
the global security and critical infrastructure protection markets, including
Japan.
